From Frustration to Innovation: Meet the Founder.

My name is Grant, founder of Holen Golf.

I started playing golf shortly after graduating college and beginning my career as an engineer. I became obsessed with the game quickly—but one piece of equipment never made sense to me: the golf glove.

Having grown up playing football, I knew what a performance glove could do. It could create grip, confidence, and control. But traditional golf gloves seemed to do the opposite. They became slippery in heat, humidity, rain, and sweat. The leather wore through the palm far too quickly, and the harder I gripped the club, the less natural my swing felt.

I knew there had to be a better solution.

My engineering background taught me to look beyond the obvious problem and understand why it was happening. Through research and testing, I learned that the palm is a critical point of power transfer between the golfer and the club. It is also where traditional gloves experience the most friction and commonly wear through.

At the same time, much of our touch and feel comes through the fingers. That led to a simple question:

What if we could strengthen grip and durability at the palm without sacrificing the natural feel of premium leather through the fingers?

That question became the foundation of the Holen SureGrip glove.

We combined premium cabretta leather with our strategically placed SureGrip palm technology to create a glove designed for greater traction, lighter grip pressure, and longer-lasting performance. The goal wasn’t to reinvent the golf glove simply to make it different. It was to engineer a better connection between the golfer and the club.

Holen was built around the feeling every golfer is chasing.

The name is a play on “hole-in-one”—the rare moment when preparation, execution, and belief come together perfectly. It represents both the pursuit of better performance and the feeling our products are created to inspire.

Because golf is not a game you complete. There is always another shot to improve, another course to conquer, and another version of yourself to pursue.

In a world obsessed with arrival, there’s something peaceful about pursuing a destination you’ll never reach.
